Forgive me I didn't reply to you immediately. I had such a busy week this week.
I have read your story word by word. You have such a wonderful life! I admire you. You wrote books! I only did some translation about ten years ago. I had dreamt of being a writer when I was young. I even started a book on gitbook.com, and I never finish it. Maybe I could pick it up someday.
I am a bit complex. Most of the time, I am chatty, so I am often seen extrovert. I know it's not true.
Could I know the names of your books? Maybe I could manage to get one through the library or another way. Your writings are excellent. I could learn much through your writing.

Before sending this letter out, I want to share a short warm story that happened last year with you.
one day afternoon, I refueled on the return journey of shopping, and put the fuel tank cap on the roof of the car and I forgot to put it back. When I was on a right-turn lane waiting for the red light turning green at the first T-shaped intersection from the fuel station, I found a kiwi guy in the other right-turn lane rolled down the car window and shouted: "Your fuel tank cap fell on the place just past the first roundabout, turn around and go back. ..” I thanked him. Then he checked that there was no car behind, quickly reversed and turned to the left turn lane. He made a special trip to turn to the right lane so that he could run alongside me. I was really touched for his behavior.

Also, the right way of saying what you do for work is, "I work as ...".
I work as an accountant. I love what I do. I find it very enjoyable and interesting.
I am of Hispanic origins but American born. I like America but I do not love it. I long to travel abroad and visit many places. Maybe one day I will get that opportunity.
I do love Slowly. It beckons the memory of my childhood when I had a Pen Pal from Israel. Unfortunately we lost touch very many years ago.
I hope that you and I can become good friends.

I originally came from China, and I have been living in New Zealand for nearly three years. I love this country and want to stay here.
I keep studying English daily since I stepped on the land in New Zealand. Unfortunately, my speaking and listening are still not good enough.
I just took a PTE English test this morning. I want a score of 58, but I am not sure I could get that mark or above.
If I didn't pass the test, I certainly would take another one next month. I have to get that marks or above to submit my resident visa.
You said we might become pen pals; sure, we could be. I love writing letters to friends. Before my family members moved to live with me, I spent much time on the “Slowly” app. It brought me to the old days that we wrote paper letters.

I work as a software engineer, and I love my job. It’s much easier to cope with the computer than office politics. Fortunately, my colleagues are friendly, and most of them are straightforward enough, making my life easier.
Regarding my hobbies, when I was in my university, I loved playing Go games, and I was a crazy fan of computers though my learning specialty is forestry teaching. I also loved amateur radio things. I fixed broken radios or audio recorders etc., for my classmates in my spare time. I had these hobbies nearly 30 years ago. After graduation from the university, I had less spare time than I was at school. I previously worked as an office employee, a computer teacher who thought young guys studying how to type Chinese characters into a computer, a business owner. I officially became a programmer in 2005.
I have few hobbies after graduation. Hiking is the new one that accompanies me these years. I love hiking or walking in the mountains or the fields. Yes, sometimes I go camping when hiking. I love to be close to nature, stars, seas, forests.
You may know that people hardly get a work-life balance in China. Only a tiny part of the Chinese people who reach financial freedom can have much spare time and enjoy their life.
At the beginning of September 2018, I gave up my programmer career in China and went to New Zealand to a reunion with my family. They came to New Zealand at the end of March in the same year.
I have to pick up my English to get a student visa here. Eventually, I got an opportunity to study in Christchurch for one year in Feb 2019. I finished my study at the end of the same year and got a full-time programmer job after two months of my graduation.
Life in New Zealand is full of happiness even though the income is fewer than in China. I have more spare time, and I’ve got a new hoppy of gardening. We hadn't a garden when I lived in Beijing.
Today I have to continue to study English to get an IELTS 6.5 score to apply for the resident visa. But I am happy. I know I am seeking the ideal life I longed for.
That’s my short story. How about you?

Regarding my hobbies, when I was in my university, I loved playing Go games, and I was a crazy fan of computers though my learning specialty is forestry teaching. I also loved amateur radio things. I fixed broken radios or audio recorders etc., for my classmates in my spare time. I had these hobbies nearly 30 years ago. After graduation from the university, I had less spare time than I was at school. I previously worked as an office employee, a computer teacher who thought young guys studying how to type Chinese characters into a computer, a business owner. I officially became a programmer in 2005.
I have few hobbies after graduation. Hiking is the new one that accompanies me these years. I love hiking or walking in the mountains or the fields. Yes, sometimes I go camping when hiking. I love to be close to nature, stars, seas, forests.
You may know that people hardly get a work-life balance in China. Only a tiny part of the Chinese people who reach financial freedom can have much spare time and enjoy their life.
At the beginning of September 2018, I gave up my programmer career in China and went to New Zealand to a reunion with my family. They came to New Zealand at the end of March in the same year.
I have to pick up my English to get a student visa here. Eventually, I got an opportunity to study in Christchurch for one year in Feb 2019. I finished my study at the end of the same year and got a full-time programmer job after two months of my graduation.
Life in New Zealand is full of happiness even though the income is fewer than in China. I have more spare time, and I’ve got a new hoppy of gardening. We hadn't a garden when I lived in Beijing.
Today I have to continue to study English to get an IELTS 6.5 score to apply for the resident visa. But I am happy. I know I am seeking the ideal life I longed for.

I work as a software engineer, and I love my job. It’s much easier to cope with the computer than office politics. Fortunately, my colleagues are friendly, and most of them are straightforward enough, making my life easier.

I just took a PTE English test this morning. I want a score of 58, but I am not sure I could get that mark or above.
If I didn't pass the test, I certainly would take another one next month. I have to get that marks or above to submit my resident visa.
You said we might become pen pals; sure, we could be. I love writing letters to friends. Before my family members moved to live with me, I spent much time on the “Slowly” app. It brought me to the old days that we wrote paper letters.

或者是当有人说了句“知识就是力量”时，我会紧跟着接上一句“法国就是培根”……可从没有人用怪异的眼光看着我、认为我说了奇怪的事，而只是若有所思地表示同意。
我还专门去问过一个老师，“知识就是力量，法国就是培根。”这句话是什么意思，然而得到的答复却是整整10分钟关于“知识就是力量”的解释，压根没有触及一点儿“法国就是培根”的内容。
当我怯生生地用疑问的语气提醒老师，“法国就是培根？”他只是说了句“没错。”只有12岁的我没有勇气和自信再追问下去。
我绝望了。从那一刻起，我知道自己永远不可能理解这句谜一般的话语背后的奇特意义，我放弃了追寻，仅仅将它当作是可以挂在嘴边、却不去思考其意味的一个谜。
